Fort Worth firefighters had two working fires as severe weather passed through the city on April 27.
The first fire was reported around 10 p.m. on Sky Acres drive and it caused extensive damage to the two-story home.
Around 10:45 p.m., crews were dispatched to a house fire on Sunset Terrace.
Crews from Station 2 arrived to find smoke and fire showing from the large one-story home.
Squad 2 stretched a hoseline through the front door to attack the fire in the rear of the home. A second hoseline was deployed by Engine 2 to the rear where heavy fire visible.
Engine 5 and Truck 2 conducted vertical ventilation when it was determined that fire spread into the attic of the home.
The fire was knocked down in 10 minutes.
Crews on the scene included: Engines 2, 5, 6, 1, Ladders 2 and 1, EMS 99, Battalion 2, Safety 1 and Squad 2.
