Several special calls were placed to help contain the Detroit building fire.

Several fire companies battled a building fire at Junction and Plumber in Detroit on June 13.

A box alarm was sounded at 7 p.m. dispatching Engines 27, 33 and 34, Ladder 8, Squad 2 and Battalion 7.

Heavy smoke and fire were issuing from the large two-story building and crews started a defensive attack.

Battalion 7 put in special calls for Engines 39, 42, Ladder 7 and Detroit EMS units.

Elevated master streams from Ladder 8's aerial and Ladder 7's aerial platform were used along with several handlines to knock down the fire.
