Firefighters from the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District needed tankers to contain the blaze.

An accidental fire destroyed two buildings at a Reeds Spring business early on Dec. 10.

Firefighters from the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District were dispatched to a structure fire at the Builders Truss Company at 3:24 a.m.

Crews found fire engulfing two metal buildings and used a defensive attack.

Five tankers were used to shuttle water from a nearby school to the scene. A total of 98,000 gallons of water were used to bring the fire under control.

Crews remained on scene for 10 hours.

Assistance was received from the Highlandville Fire Department, Stone County Sheriff's Department, White River Electric, Mercy EMS and the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District's Auxiliary.
