Firehouse shares recent fires from around the country.

Pawtucket, RI, Oct. 5, 2018—Upon arrival at a fire at a mill, first-in companies struck a third alarm due to heavy fire conditions. A meth lab was discovered in the A/D corner of the building where the heaviest of fire was discovered. Two people were arrested the next day in conjunction with the lab and fire.

Royal Oak, MI, Oct. 27, 2018—The Royal Oak Fire Department responded to a reported condo fire. Engine 9-10 arrived on the scene to find heavy fire conditions from the roof. Crews first used master streams to attack the fire, and later performed interior fire attack, containing the fire to two units. Royal Oak Engines 9-10, 9-20 and 9-30, Ladder 9-12, Rescue 91 and 92, and Cars 905, 906 and 907 responded to this incident with second-alarm mutual-aid companies from Ferndale, Madison Heights, Birmingham, Bloomfield Township and Southfield fire departments.

Allentown, PA, Oct. 7, 2018—A fire was reported in a former storage building, and Allentown fire officials immediately called for a full response of 35 city firefighters as well as backup from neighboring communities around Lehigh County. Crews established a collapse zone at the vast brick and timber building, and worked for more than 17 hours to fully extinguish the blaze.
