Firehouse presents recent fires from around the country.

San Antonio, TX, Dec. 31, 2018—Firefighters responded to a convenience store fire. Crews went defensive after a partial roof collapse, prompting evacuation tones after approximately 20 minutes on scene. Multiple ground monitors and aerial master streams were put to use to place the fire under control.

Hartford, CT, Dec. 9, 2018—Companies were toned out at 8:47 p.m. for smoke showing from a building. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke showing from a commercial building used by a church on the rear part of the property. The fire broke through the roof within 15 minutes of arrival, and the tower ladders had it knocked down within 15 minutes.

St-Colomban, Quebec, Dec. 9, 2018—Firefighters responded to a fire in a two-story wooden residence in a municipality north of Montreal. Firefighters requested assistance from their counterparts in Mirabel, and water was delivered by tanker to the non-hydranted area. Approximately 30 firefighters were on scene to extinguish the blaze.

Port Chester, NY, Dec. 1, 2018—Calls were received for a house fire and confirmed upon arrival of the police units. Port Chester firefighters arrived soon thereafter to find smoke showing from the attic area of the home. Multiple lines were stretched and put into operation while another crew vented the attic. The fire was knocked down quickly.
