ROCKFORD, IL, MARCH 2— The Rockford Fire Department arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the back of a four-story commercial building. Upon size-up, the volume of fire dictated a defensive approach. Ultimately, five alarms were sounded. Four aerials, five engines, two ambulances and four chief officers operated at the incident. An arrest was made for arson.

ORLANDO, FL, FEB. 19—The Orlando Fire Department extinguished the majority of a blaze at a two-story residence in two hours. Fire crews were told by neighbors that the occupancy was divided into eight rooms to serve as short-term rentals. Two civilians were rushed to the hospital with severe burns. One civilian reportedly jumped from the second floor to escape the flames. A spokesperson was said to have cited the incident as being investigated as suspicious.

FORT WORTH, TX, MARCH 1—Engine 16 encountered heavy fire from the A and B sides of a one-story home early in the evening. The crew deployed a hoseline, while Quint 16 began search efforts. Engine 18 laid a supply line and operated a backup line as additional crews arrived to help knock down the blaze in 20 minutes. More than 25 firefighters responded with four engines, one quint, two chiefs and an air unit.
