Electrical and HVAC/R Training Center is a premier electrical, HVAC, & Green Technology training facility on Long Island. Our purpose is to educate all workers in the electrical & HVAC industry. We train and educate all aspects of the electrical & HVAC industry such as lighting and power; security and fire alarm; photovoltaic systems; gas & oil burner control wiring; motor & motor controls; low voltage; and safety awareness. We also provide private seminars for corporations in the construction and trade related industries. We are committed to keeping the electrical & HVAC industry a professional skilled trade. Education is our top priority. Our curriculum is approved by New York State Department of Education and all our teachers are licensed through the New York State Department of Education.

Security or Fire Alarm System Installer (NY State License Preparation Course)– 81 Hours

In this course, students will learn about: the installations: standards, codes and techniques; control panels and alarm transmissions; security systems; and fire technology. The course helps prepare the student for the Security or Fire Alarms System Installer Exam. Per NYS, individuals with a criminal background may be ineligible to obtain a NYS Security & Fire Alarm Installer License. Inquire with NYS Dept. of State Division of Licensing for additional information.

NICET Level 1 & 2 Preparation Course – 30 Hours

This course is for individuals who are preparing for certification testing as a Fire Alarm Technician by NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies). A student workbook and copy of NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm Code, are included. A 2014 National Electrical Code book is required for this class but not included in the tuition.
