The rules for the protection of miscellaneous storage have varied in recent editions of NFPA 13. This seminar will focus on Chapter 13 of the 2010 edition of the sprinkler standard. It will show how the provisions of this chapter dovetail with both the occupancy hazard classification rules and the rules for protection of high-piled storage involving commodity classification. Emphasis will be placed on identifying applications for these rules and their special allowances.
