Mental Health First Aid is a 12-hour training certification that helps the public to identify, understand and respond to help someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. On March 24th, Care Plus NJ will offer this course for law enforcement professionals, fire fighters, and first responders. The course will take place in Hackensack NJ on March 24th and March 31st, from 9 am to 4 pm each day.

By the year 2020, Mental Health First Aid is expected to be as well known as CPR and First Aid. Mental Health First Aid has been endorsed by the National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare and several State Department’s of Health and Mental Health.
