Chicago Firefighters Operated at Abandoned Building

The incident commander directed Chicago firefighters to initiate a defensive attack on the vacant structure.

Chicago firefighters battled a fire in a abandoned commericial building.

Aerial operations were used at the structure on 59th Street at Halsted.

The incident commander called for additional manpower to assist. Due to conditions, he declared a defensive attack.

He advised there were no exposures involved, and directed ladder crews to certain positions.

No other information was available.
