Philadelphia Rowhouse Fire Leaves Two Dead, One Hurt

Firefighters pulled three people from the three-story rowhouse in Philadelphia Friday morning.

Two men rescued from a raging rowhouse fire by Philadelphia firefighters have died while another person was injured.

"Companies arrived on 8th street to find smoke and fire coming from a corner property," Philadelphia Deputy Fire Commissioner Gustav Baumann told NBC10.

Crews pulled three people out of the three-story building. They performed CPR on them  before transporting them to a hospital.

Two were pronounced dead a short time later while a third person is in critical conditon.

Baumann said it was a sad day for everyone including firefighters who are part of the community.

The cause is under investigation.
