A house was destroyed and two neighboring homes were damaged in a fire Tuesday on Tucson's southeast side, authorities said.

The blaze started shortly before 1 p.m. in the 9000 block of East Paseo San Bernardo, near South Houghton and East Old Vail roads, the Tucson Fire Department said in a Facebook post.

Multiple callers reported the blaze, with some saying they heard explosions, the department said.

About 75% of the single-story house was burning by the time firefighters arrived about six minutes after the first calls to 911.

The fire was declared under control at 1:41 p.m., TFD said.

Multiple callers reported the house fire, with some saying they heard explosions, the Tucson Fire Department said.

No one was injured in the blaze, but six people were displaced, the department said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
