Five-Alarm Fire Rips Through Bronx Businesses

More than 100 FDNY firefighters battled the blaze that spread from stores to an apartment building.

Stores and an apartment building were involved in a five-alarm fire in the Bronx Thursday night.

Among the businesses destroyed were a fruit shop,, a dollar store and a bodega.

Flames jumped from the stores to the roof and second floor of the adjacent six-story apartment building, abc 7 reported.
