Oct. 15--An unidentified man in his 50s was rescued late Friday night after becoming tangled between a large fishing vessel and a dock, according to the Ventura Fire Department.
City and county firefighters and the Harbor Patrol were called to the 1400 block of Spinnaker Drive about 10:15 p.m., where bystanders were trying to rescue the man, who was about 15 feet below the dock.
Once free, the man was lowered to a rescue paddle board and taken onto a Harbor Patrol rescue boat where medical care was administered before he was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center.
Authorities did not say how the man got pinned between the boat and the dock.
