ORLANDO, Fla. --

Orange County Fire Rescue was on the scene of a fatal accident at the Magical Midway Thrill Park attraction on I-Drive where firefighters report that Justin Honeycutt, a maintenance worker, was killed while working on the Star Flyers Ride.

Sylvia Gillion witnessed the accident happen around two oclock Saturday afternoon. Her children were on the ride. Star Flyer is a swing ride that takes thrill seekers almost 200 feet into the air. The ride stalled and two workers went up the center scaffolding to get the riders down. It was during this rescue that Honeycutt fell to his death.

We left there throwing up, and I told the manager hes dead. Hes dead, said Gillion.

Officials say Honeycutt followed the proper safety procedures and had a safety harness on when he went up the 90 feet. Investigators say he was suspended in the air by his harness when they arrived and it took them 45 minutes to get him down. Honeycutt had several fractures and major head injuries. Detectives have not released what caused the fall.
