Mass. Children Become Stuck on Carnival Ride

CANTON, Mass. -- Firefighters in Canton had to rescue three children trapped on a carnival ride Sunday afternoon. Authorities said the roll-o-plane ride got stuck at about 5:30 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church carnival on Washington Street. It took fire crews a half hour to remove the riders from 40 feet above the ground. One girl was taken to an area hospital for a minor injury. State officials shut the ride down but the carnival remains open.

Firefighters in Canton had to rescue three children trapped on a carnival ride Sunday afternoon.

Authorities said the roll-o-plane ride got stuck at about 5:30 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church carnival on Washington Street.
