FARMINGTON, N.H. --

Six people were hurt in a crash involving a propane truck and a minibus on Route 11 in Farmington, the Farmington fire chief said.

The road was closed after the crash near Tappan Street.

Two people, including the driver of the propane truck, were taken to a hospital, and the others were evaluated at the scene.

Farmington police said both vehicles were traveling on east on Route 11. As they came to the intersection of Route 11 and Central Street, the minibus slowed and stopped to make a left turn. The propane truck then struck the rear of the bus, police said.

Witness Ann Bunnell said the cab of the Eastern Propane truck was destroyed, and the back of the minibus was open and torn open.

Police said the propane tank was fine, and there was no danger of an explosion. Eastern Propane said it did not know how much propane was inside at the time of the crash. The truck hit a utility pole, causing some scattered outages.

The driver of the propane truck was in and out of consciousness when police arrived, but the company said it did not believe he was seriously hurt.
