Crews were called to Route 711 at Mountain View Road north of Ligonier Township shortly before 4:30 p.m. Emergency officials said firefighters gained control over most of the fire within an hour.
WTAE Channel 4 Action News reporter Ashlie Hardway learned at the scene that the fire started in the kitchen of the fire station's social hall and spread from there. Hardway reported that a wedding reception was scheduled to take place at the social hall Saturday evening.
