TUOLUMNE COUNTY, Calif. -- --
A wildfire burning in the Stanislaus National Forest had grown to more than 1,300 acres by Wednesday was only 10 percent contained.
The Knight Fire just north of Twain Harte increased from about 600 acres Tuesday. It's burning in steep and rocky terrain, with limited access.
The blaze started Sunday afternoon on the Middle Fork of the Stanislaus River.
Evacuations are in place for the community of Mount Knight, where 30 homes are threatened, according to the Cal Fire Web site.
More than 650 fire personnel are working to control the blaze. Its cause is under investigation.
