Fires over the last two days have devastated parts of Oklahoma, and authorities still consider arson a possibility in at least two of them.
More than 50 homes were destroyed in Stephens County. Seven firefighters were injured, one of whom is in critical condition.
Destry Horton and another firefighter got trapped in the flames and smoke near Duncan on Wednesday. Horton is in critical condition at a local hospital with burns over 50 percent of his body.
Doctors said just making it through the night is a good sign for the volunteer firefighter. Horton's family has been by his side night and day.
"We've had a rough day but when you get a smidge of hope and with all the support from around the state, it makes it that much easier to accept," said Darin Horton, the firefighter's brother.
A relief fund has been established for Horton's family. If you would like to help, drop off a donation at any First National Bank branch in Chickasha or surrounding communities.
On Wednesday alone, 27 fires burned more than 13,000 acres.
