ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- Firefighters, aided by aircraft, managed to contain a forest fire Thursday on a mountain near Athens, the fire department said.
The operation on a mountain near the seaside town of Oropos, about 41 kilometers (25 miles) east of Athens, involved more than 80 firefighters, two firefighting aircraft and one helicopter.
The fire did not threaten any houses or businesses in the area, officials said.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
