SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) -- Fire crews continued to fight a 250-acre wildfire in southern Arizona that led to the voluntary evacuations of people living in 15 homes, officials said Sunday.
It was threatening some structures near Red Mountain, about four miles south of Patagonia. The fire's proximity to the homes was unknown.
As a precaution, electricity was turned off at scores of homes in the area.
Portions of the fire burned in steep, rocky terrain and in narrow canyons, making it difficult for firefighters to attack the blaze in the Coronado National Forest, Sarah Davis, a spokeswoman for fire crews.
The fire was spotted around 1 p.m. Saturday. One hundred sixty people, three helicopters and three airline planes were battling the fire.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
