SALMON, Idaho (AP) -- More than 250 firefighters made steady but slow progress on a lightning-caused wildfire in eastern Idaho on Friday, but fire officials pushed back estimates for containment.
The Corn Fire burning in dead and downed timber 37 miles northwest of Salmon was still under 200 acres, but increased winds and lower humidity resulted in more fire activity.
Four helicopters dropping water backed up ground crews, which had the blaze 60 contained. Officials expected full containment on Sunday.
