The Hawkins Fire, 12 miles southwest of Enterprise, has burned 35,190 as of Tuesday morning, and was considered 15 percent contained.
Good progress was made Monday, but hot spots remained and crews would attack them Tuesday from all sides, officials said.
The number of personnel fighting the fire grew to 687 Tuesday, and included the use of 19 crews, six helicopters, two single engine air tankers and 21 engines.
Crews were directed to the Hawkins Fire on Monday from the nearby Pine Park Fire, which is being monitored by air. Both were started by lightning strikes Saturday.
The Pine Park Fire was 90 percent contained Tuesday, and had burned 4,800 acres.
Rain on Monday helped firefighters bring the Red Bull Fire to 75 percent containment. It's burning in Spanish Fork Canyon, about eight miles east of Spanish Fork in Utah County.
The U.S. Forest Service expected the fire to be fully contained by Wednesday evening.
