NUTRIOSO, Ariz. (AP) -- A wildfire in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest was fully contained after charring 7,905 acres, authorities said Thursday.
Crews were doing mop-up work on the hot spots of the Three Forks Fire and starting rehabilitation on dozer lines.
The fire, which started June 8, briefly threatened the tiny mountain community of Nutrioso.
Authorities believe the blaze was ignited by people and it remains under investigation.
