A mobile home fire in Kachina Village Wednesday afternoon led to an evacuation of eight other homes, as the blaze in the forested area threatened to turn into a wildfire.
The fire destroyed the mobile home at 1182 Tovar Trail, Unit 18, in the Kachina Village Mobile Home Park and flames climbed into the crown of a nearby, 50-foot tall ponderosa pine before firefighters contained it.
