SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) -- Firefighters contained a blaze near the Arizona-Mexico border, a Coronado National Forest official said Friday.

The 240-acre fire, which burned in grasslands, oak and brush, was contained Thursday night, said Coronado spokeswoman Marylee Peterson.

The fire started Wednesday in two spots - one just inside the Mexico border and the other 50 yards inside the Arizona border.

It was likely human-caused because lightning has not struck there recently.

A second wildfire in the Coronado northwest of Patagonia had burned 600 acres of rugged terrain by Friday.

The Tank Fire was 30 percent contained and was not threatening any structures, Peterson said.

About 100 firefighters worked to build lines around the blaze burning grass and brushy terrain.

The cause of the fire, which started Thursday, is under investigation, Peterson said.
