More than 100 firefighters responded to a four-alarm blaze that erupted at a warehouse early Sunday.

As Orange County Fire Authority crews arrived at the scene just before 6 a.m., they saw flames shooting through the roof of the Irvine headquarters of a nonprofit group that helps disadvantaged individuals, the Orange County Register reports. Firefighters initially tried to attack the blaze from the inside, but the intensity of the flames, which eventually brought down the warehouse's roof, forced them to retreat.

Because of the danger involved with trying to tackle the fire from inside the warehouse, crews doused the structure with foam and water from the outside. The blaze was under control by about noon, but the flames had destroyed the warehouse, leaving nothing standing but some of the walls.

No injuries were reported, the Register added.
