One firefighter was injured in a late-night fire in Harrisburg.
The two-alarm blaze broke out around 10:40 p.m. Saturday near Bailey and 12th streets and began somewhere in a row of at least four attached homes.
The Harrisburg Bureau of Fire is reporting this morning that when the first units got to the scene, fire was showing from the rear of a three-story vacant home, but within seconds, it spread, and heavy flames were shooting out from everywhere, spreading to the other three homes.
It quickly became a two-alarm fire, bringing in crews from all around, who worked for several hours to contain the fire.
One firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital. There is no word yet on that firefighter’s condition.
Officials say everyone made it out of the homes safely, including several dogs. There is no word yet on how many people were displaced.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire or the extent of damage.
Fire crews battled several smaller fires throughout the city Saturday night, as well.
