FF Hurt When Leg Goes Through Floor in 2-Alarm CT Blaze
A Connecticut firefighter was injured when his leg went through the floor during a two-alarm residential blaze Wednesday.
The fire broke out at about 9 p.m. in a three-story, two-family home in Hartford, WTNH-TV reports. Although crews were able to get the fire under control in around 30 minutes, the flames still did extensive damage to the house.
While battling the blaze, a firefighter's leg went through the floor, and he needed his fellow firefighters to help free him so that he could escape the home. The firefighter was taken to the hospital, and witnesses told WTNH that he was pumping his fist and telling others that he was all right.
No one else was injured during the call. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
