Los Angeles City Fire Department crews tackled a large fire that burned through a multi-story structure early Friday.
Firefighters responded to the call in the city's Hollywood Hills West neighborhood just before 5 a.m., KTLA-TV reports. They encountered heavy flames shooting from the building, which has three stories in the front and two in the rear.
Excessive storage throughout the building's interior created difficulties for crews as they tried to gain access. The building's occupants were safely evacuated, and no injuries were reported, according to KNBC-TV.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
