Minneapolis firefighters pulled a resident from a burning house early Thursday.
The fire broke out shortly before midnight at a home on Columbus Avenue, and crews encountered flames shooting through a second-floor window as they arrived, according to the Minneapolis Fire Department. Firefighters began an interior attack while searching for anyone inside.
A man was found, and crews were able to get him out through the front door. Paramedics performed CPR to revive him, and the injured resident was taken to the hospital.
Fire Chief Bryan Tyner said that the call had been a challenge for crews.
"We have been out there twice already … and are back on the scene again," he told the Star Tribune, adding that the flames had caused "considerable damage" to the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
