A car fire in a California parking lot spread to another vehicle and ignited ammunition inside of it Tuesday.
The fire broke out just after 4 p.m. in a Vons grocery store parking lot in Del Mar, KNSD-TV reports. When flames jumped to a second vehicle, ammunition inside was set off, and it can be heard in raw video from the scene.
Tires on the burning vehicles also were heard popping, and the noise was mistaken for explosions by some witnesses.
One person suffered minor injuries from the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
