Crews from multiple departments battled a two-alarm fire that broke out on the warehouse dock of a cabinet business in North Charleston.

A South Carolina firefighter was injured during a two-alarm commercial fire Tuesday.

The fire broke out just before 1 p.m. on a warehouse dock at a cabinet business, the North Charleston Fire Department stated in an online update. Employees were able to safe escape the building on their own before crews arrived at the scene.

Firefighters from multiple departments— including North Charleston, Charleston and St. Andrews—responded to the call once a second alarm was called. They used handlines and elevated water streams to attack the flames from outside.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries during the fire and was taken to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Crews were able to get the fire under control and remained at the scene to put out any possible hot spots, according to the department. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
