Luckily, there were no injuries when glass from a large window being repaired on the 45th floor of a San Francisco skyscraper fell to the sidewalk below.

Oct. 1—A large window on the 45th floor of 450 Folsom at First and Folsom streets in San Francisco fell to the ground Thursday, the San Francisco Fire Department said.

No injuries were reported.

The department said the window was being repaired when it fell and shattered on the sidewalk below at about 2 p.m.

The department shared an image showing the side of the building with a platform, which was likely being used for workers to repair the windows, strung from the side of the building.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and cleaned up the glass. Cars and pedestrians were asked to avoid the area.

By about 3 p.m., the area was cleared.

The residential tower at 450 Folsom is 55 stories.
