A structure fire in rural Harrison County near the town of Jane Lew that started in a shed extended to a house and hillside before being brought under control.

According to a Facebook post from the Jane Lew Fire Department, units from Harrison, Lewis and Upshur counties were requested by the West Milford Fire Department to assist with manpower and water supply to the structure fire.

When crews contained the structures, they shifted their focus to controlling the wind-driven brush fire as it advanced up the hillside. Crews set up a perimeter and were able to control the brush fire with help from the weather.

Fire departments from Gilmer and Braxton counties were requested for manpower to assist with suppression efforts.
