OH Firefighters Battle Two-Alarm Church Fire

Nov. 22, 2021
Columbus firefighters were able to contain a two-alarm fire in a vacant church Sunday night that caused significant damage to the sanctuary.

Firefighters in Columbus were called to the Williams Road Free Will Baptist Church on Sunday night after a worship leader discovered a glow in a vent.

WBNS 10 says the church had completed services about an hour before the fire broke out, so the building was not full of parishioners at the time.

Firefighters were able to control the blaze after it rose to two alarms. The building was clear after searches, and no injuries were reported.
