CLEVELAND, Ohio – A fire erupted at a linen business on the city’s East Side early Thursday morning, sending squads of firefighters to a commercial building on Lake Court.

The blaze took place at the Clean Group, a company owned by former Browns wide receiver Joe Jurevicius, according to published reports and the company’s website.

Trucks arrived about 3:45 a.m. at Lake Court, just west of East 55th Street, said Lt. Mike Norman, the spokesman for the Cleveland Division of Fire.

No one was hurt. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Tony Dosen of Regional Equipment Services Inc., which is across the street from the linen business, said Thursday that he was grateful that no one was hurt.

Norman confirmed that firefighters responded to the Clean Group at 7 a.m. Wednesday for a fire that broke out because of improperly stored rags next to a dryer.

The incident Wednesday caused $5,000 worth of damage, Norman said.
