Join the National Fire Academy's No-Cost Courses Starting May 24
The National Fire Academy is accepting applications for eight training programs beginning later this month, designed to enhance leadership and operational skills.
With the National Fire Academy reopened, there are immediate openings for eight classes beginning May 24.
With the shutdown of Department of Homeland Security over, the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD, has reopened and they are seeking students for classes starting later this month.
There is no charge for the programs. Transportation to Baltimore-Washington International Airport is included, along with lodging on campus. Travel stipends are available in certain circumstances.
Eight week-long sessions are slated to begin May 24 and interested parties been to apply by May 13. Those sessions include:
Command and Control Decision-Making at Multiple Alarm Incidents
Command and Control of Incident Operations
Fire Investigation: Forensic Evidence Collection and Documentation
Hazardous Materials Code Enforcement
Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incident Management
Leadership in Supervision
New Executive Chief Officer
Special Operations Program Management and Leadership
