Tampa, FL – May 18, 2022 - Vector Solutions, the leading provider of computer-based training and operational management software for public safety agencies, has once again joined forces with the IAFC’s Volunteer and Combination Officers Section (VCOS) to deliver the 2022 Training Officer Recognition Award.
This is the ninth year in a row Vector Solutions, formerly known as TargetSolutions, has sponsored the prestigious award, which honors a training officer for their dedication to training excellence.
The nomination period for the award will run from now through June 30. At that time, Vector Solutions and the IAFC will team up to select a winner who has demonstrated innovative and creative training methods for their department.
The winner will receive a free trip to Fire-Rescue International (FRI), scheduled Aug. 24-26 in San Antonio, and will be recognized at VCOS section meeting during FRI.
“VCOS continues to be thrilled with the partnership with Vector Solutions and the Training Officer Award,” said Norvin Collins, who serves on the board for the IAFC’s VCOS and is the chief at San Juan Island Fire and Rescue (Wash.). “This award gives us the opportunity to recognize the crucial work that training officers do in assuring competent responders. We bring these people to the limelight where they mostly work in the background. We congratulate all those who were submitted for this award.”
