The Berkeley Fire Department responded early Monday morning, heading north to Santa Rosa to help with what firefighters thought was a "large grass fire."
When a strike team made up of both Berkeley and San Francisco firefighters arrived just before sunrise, they were stunned at the scope of the massive Tubbs Fire.
