New Jersey crews battled a three-alarm house blaze Monday that investigators believe was started by a lightning strike.

Firefighters from Rutherford and neighboring fire departments responded to the call just after 4:30 a.m., the North Jersey Record reports. A police officer was hospitalized with possible complications from smoke inhalation from the fire.
