South Carolina firefighters had an early, up-close Fourth of July pyrotechnics show as they avoided exploding rockets while battling a huge blaze outside two fireworks stores Thursday morning.

Crews responded around 6 a.m. to a fire that broke out in storage containers in the parking lot between Davey Jones Fireworks and House of Fireworks in Fort Mills, WCNC-TV reports. The containers were filled with fireworks, and video from the scene shows the explosives shooting through the air and showering the lot in multi-colored sparks.

No one was hurt in the incident, which took firefighters around 45 minutes to extinguish. The fireworks knocked down a power line, causing some of the nearby businesses to lose electricity.

Investigators are looking into the fire's cause, but authorities told WCNC that foul play isn't suspected.
