St. Louis Firefighter Injured Rescuing Woman

A St. Louis firefighter was hurt rescuing a woman from a burning building Wednesday.

Crews responded to a fire at a duplex in the city's Kingsway West neighborhood, KMOV-TV reports. Authorities told the TV station that a woman was inside the vacant building and might have started a fire for warmth.

A firefighter was injured when part of the ceiling gave way during the rescue, according to KTVI-TV. He was taken to the hospital for treatment to burns on his hand.
