Fort Worth firefighters battled a house fire on the city’s east side late Monday morning.
Engine 3 arrived to find heavy fire from the rear of the one-story home and stretched a 1 ¾-inch attack line to the rear. Fire spread into the attic and Truck 14’s crews performed vertical ventilation, allowing the smoke and flames to escape the attic space to knock down the fire.
Four engines, one truck and two chiefs responded and had the fire contained in 10 minutes.
