Paris firefighters rescued eight people from an eight-story apartment blaze Thursday. Raw video shows crews battling the flames and searching the smoke-filled building.
The fire broke out shortly before 8 a.m. in an apartment building near the the Porte d’Orléans in the city's 14th district, France 3 reports. One hundred firefighters responded to the blaze, which concerned the building's second through eighth floors.
Firefighters used ladders to reach eight people who were trapped in the burning building. A firefighter was among 13 people taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Crews were able to bring the fire under control in a little less than two hours, France 3 added.
