Boston Firefighter Injured Putting Out Car Blaze

Crews responded to a fire that broke out in a car that was parked in an underground level of a multi-level garage in Boston early Wednesday.

A Boston firefighter was injured while putting out a car fire in a parking garage early Wednesday.

The fire started shortly before 2:30 a.m. in an underground garage at 1 Lincoln St., WCVB-TV reports. Crews quickly extinguished the flames, and the excess smoke from the incident was eliminated with smoke ejectors placed on three levels of the garage.

A firefighter suffered minor injuries in the incident and was taken to the hospital for treatement, WCVB added.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
