Two FDNY Firefighters Among Four Injured in 2-Alarm Blaze

More than 100 FDNY firefighters from nearly two dozen units worked for around two hours to control a blaze that broke out on the sixth floor of an apartment building in Harlem.

Two FDNY firefighters were among four people injured during a two-alarm apartment blaze that had more than 100 firefighters responding early Monday.

Crews were called to the fire that began just after 1 a.m. on the sixth floor of an apartment building in Harlem, WCBS-TV reports. The department had 106 firefighters from 25 units at the scene working to put out the blaze, which was under control by about 3:30 a.m., according to WPIX-TV.

Two firefighters and two civilians were injured in the blaze and taken to the hospital. The FDNY did not immediately release details concerning the cause and nature of those injuries.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the blaze.
