Four MA Firefighters Injured as Blaze Jumps from Boat to House

A man working on a boat in Melrose escaped serious injury when a fire broke out on the watercraft, and flames spread to the attic of a nearby house.

Four Massachusetts firefighters were injured putting out a boat blaze that had spread to a home Friday.

The fire began on a boat that a resident was working on Friday afternoon in Melrose, WHDH-TV reports. Flames then spread to from the boat to attic of a nearby home. 

Four firefighters suffered injuries in the blaze, and two were taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion. The man working on boat wasn't seriously injured in the incident, according to WHDH.
