New York fire crews rescued a woman from a two-alarm blaze that tore through three residential structures and injured two firefighters and two police officers early Tuesday.
The fire broke out shortly after 4 a.m. and involved three homes on Buffalo's west side, WKBW-TV reports. Flames damaged all three structures, and the middle house, which had seven residents, was considered a complete loss.
"There were three buildings on fire, could've been easily four," Division Chief Paul Graham told WKBW. "We saved a person, and everyone did a phenomenal job putting this fire out."
The firefighters injured in the blaze were taken to the hospital. One firefighter suffered burns, while the other suffered smoke inhalation, according to WGRZ-TV.
Two police officers also were injured in the incident. They both are believed to have suffered smoke inhalation, WIVB-TV reports.
